Embracing the flower power trend

Home Decor shopping

I never used to be that into florals, but somethings happened recently.  I can't get enough of the big, bright, and bold 60's style flower prints.  I think we all need cheering up after a long, cold, stuck indoors, lockdown, pandemic-y winter.  And massive colourful flowers couldn't be more opposite and joyful!

My floral obsession has spread to my new homeware designs, which all feature these handmade paper flower collages.

So, I've put together a selection of beautiful flower themed goodies, all from UK based Etsy shops.  To help you fill your homes and cover yourselves with flower power fun.

Starting off with these huge plastic mod style flower earrings by Desdemona Vintage.  I wish I had pierced ears so I could wear some.  But I'll just have to look at this picture instead.

If you're still looking for some craft projects to fill your time, this crochet flower table mat pattern by Ruth Maddock might be just what you're looking for.  I'd love to make loads of them in different colours and fill the whole table.

Hayley Victory Designs' creations are all amazing with their neon brightness.  This little felt flower necklace is a very easy way to get the flower power look, and they're so light to wear.

Marimekko fabrics always make me feel happy with their simple, bright flowers.  We're probably going to be wearing face masks for a while longer, so these ones by M for Maru are an essential purchase.  If you can decide which colour!

I NEED some of these tights by Flare the Label!  Perfect pastel florals to keep your legs warm in this (very) random spring weather we're having.

Or dress up your lights instead for the summer with a flower print lampshade made by Ermintrude UK.

Fairytale Collars have a handmade collar for any occasion, and I love the colours of this flower version.  It's such an easy update for a plain outfit and the pink and green combo is lovely.

Make a statement with this screen printed flower power sweatshirt by Hello Dodo.  I love the hand cut look of this design, and it means you can continue the flower obsession through winter too!

And finally, these cute candle holders by Lottie Hall Studio are made from Jesmonite and come in lots of pretty colours to adorn your table.

In my own shop, I've designed a whole flower power range this year to brighten your home.  There are super colourful table runners, placemats, tea towels, enamel mugs, and cushions.  And they're all printed with my handmade papercut flower collages!

I hope you enjoyed my floral picks.  Now, do you think this look is too much?
